About Brian Allen

Brian Allen received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in painting from Kent State University and a BFA in graphic design from the University of Akron. In 2013 he moved from Cuyahoga Falls, OH to Salt Lake City. Brian is a painter of paradox - he uses art as a conduit to merge conflicting emotions. Feelings of tension and tranquility are evoked, by blurring the line between the chaotic and serene. His works represent the multi-faceted complexities of everyday life. Brian's interest in the convergence of polar opposites began in art school. His inspiration was psychological androgyny and how it's proven to be cognitively and sociologically beneficial.
